Theresa Hudson, a native of Hamilton, Ontario, grew up as the middle child among two fiercely independent sisters. In the restrictive landscape of the 1970s, where few career options were available for young women, Theresa courageously stepped outside these bounds to pursue pediatric physiotherapy. Her decision remains resolute to this day, driven by a passion for working with children and adolescents facing cerebral palsy and other neurological challenges.

Witnessing the indomitable spirit and unwavering determination of families striving tirelessly to help their children achieve developmental milestones was profoundly humbling for Theresa. It inspired her deeply and fueled her desire to bring greater representation of the disabled community into literature, particularly within the romance genre.

Determined to shift the narrative, Theresa created Kayla Grisholm, a heroine in her early twenties battling cerebral palsy and left-sided paraplegia. Her trilogy took shape through three captivating books, with “Second Chances” standing alone as a poignant romance novel edited for the Christian community and published by West Bow Press—a heartfelt testament that promises to touch every reader.

Outside of her literary pursuits, Theresa lives with her high school sweetheart, Bob, and together they have raised three remarkable, independent daughters: Carolyn, Laura, and Melanie. Now revelling in the joys of grandparenthood, Theresa delights in the simple pleasures of changing diapers and cuddling with her beloved grandchildren.

On a personal note, Theresa invites her readers into a conversation about maintaining peace and embracing everyday joy after years of spiritual growth and learning. She encourages them to share their own tips for navigating life’s challenges with grace and gratitude.
